FIVE33′s Friday Fix

Another week has come and gone which can only mean one thing – it’s time to get fixed!

First up is some work from designers Radford Wallis. When property developer Land Securities was showing a new building to potential tenants they needed to show how the space would be split into 4 separate offices.

The Radford Wallis team had to come up with a fuss free way of marking the space out and decided to go for super sized, maximum impact . . . Stationary has never looked so cool.

Awards season is well and truly with us so we were pleased to see that BAFTA sponsors Orange have taken a 21st century look at the nomination line up by creating their very own Flickometer. Linked to Twitter the flickometer shows you all the latest tweets about the nominees in each category. Not only that but they rank each nominee based on the number of tweets per hour! It’s a great concept and really elegantly laid out.

Lastly a couple of music videos to kick start your weekend.

Alex Winston is a singer song writer from Detroit and one of our ‘ones to watch’ for 2011. Though we can’t deny her fleeting resemblance to the grand dame of mystical pop Kate Bush, her current single Locomotive is quickly becoming our current obsession!

James Blake is an artist that we have all fallen in love with. Mixing soulful vocals with a dusting of dubstep, Mr Blake certainly presents a laidback sound track to a sunny LA day.

That’s all from the Fix for now… may all your weekends be memorable.
