Kids of the future
For Disney feature animation Meet The Robinsons, the FIVE33 music division reinvented the evergreen Kim Wilde hit 'Kids In America' re-writing and producing the pop-punk track 'Kids Of The Future'.
For pitching purposes, the recording was accompanied by a video clip of live concert footage and excerpts taken from the film, also conceived and created by the team. The concept was to demonstrate how to engage a young audience by capturing dynamic excitement in a contemporary version of a classic song that parents would also recognize and enjoy.
The AV clip was so successful that new Disney signings the Jonas Brothers agreed to record the vocals to FIVE33's production. Walt Disney Records also shot their video based on the AV concept clip. The FIVE33 team worked with the band’s producers and video director to ensure maximum sonic and visual impact.
The video premiered worldwide on Disney Channel and proved instantly popular. 'Kids Of The Future' was included on the ‘Meet The Robinsons’ OST, Jonas Brother's 2 million selling album 'Jonas Brothers', opened their 46 date Marvelous Party Tour in 2007 and was performed at the White House. As of September 2011, the video has over 9 million hits on YouTube.
