Disney tasked FIVE33 with heralding the return of their multi-billion dollar Pirates on the Caribbean franchise with 2011’s On Stranger Tides. Working hand-in-hand with the client, FIVE33 delivered a diverse range of services and tools that enabled the client to develop a successful global marketing strategy for the film. Our Lifestyle Portfolio helped connect the world of the film to today’s cultural landscape, and our International Style Guide captured the film’s unique visual swagger.
Our communication architecture was critical in unifying and amplifying the scope and scale of the Pirates universe. The campaign initiatives reached millions with a multi-platform retail takeover of 680 Hot Topic stores across the United States, highlighted by bespoke, high-impact installations at their flagship locations in Hollywood & Highland and Garden State Plaza. This unique interactive experience allowed consumers to interact with the world of the film like never before.
